Rainbow School Paris is a private international school that strives to provide a unique education that is tailored to fit every child's individual needs.
Founded in 2003 by Bénédicte Lartigue, Rainbow School Paris was built on a dream of making children's first learning experience meaningful and memorable. At Rainbow School we combine the Montessori approach (innovative pedagogy, curriculum) with an international curriculum to create lessons that allow children to learn at their own pace. In every activity there is balance between structure and free choice. This helps the students develop autonomy in a safe environment where they know they are supported and nurtured.
Our close collaboration with parents adds to a sense of community and offers a harmonious teaching environment for the children Both students and parents receive personalised attention so that everyone's needs are heard and met. As the school is family-oriented, parent involvement is encouraged and they may actively participate in our parent-run association, Friends of Rainbow School Paris. This association is geared towards building a closer relationship between school and home and allows parents to take part in decisions that have a direct impact on the school and their child's education.
One of our main focuses is for children to establish a pleasure for learning. Average class sizes of 16 students allows us to concentrate on taking a holistic approach to each child's personal development. Our English immersion program in Nursery (70% English, 30% French) is the foundation on which the children develop strong comprehension and speaking skills. Our bilingual Primary program enables the children to continue expanding their English education while introducing the French national curriculum. In our Primary program, French as a foreign language (FLE) classes are also provided for all non-native French speakers and adapted to each level as required. This diverse curriculum challenges the students to experience learning actively, to stimulate creativity, and to develop cooperative learning skills.
We really believe that introducing children to multiculturalism and real-life experiences are key to opening their minds to the world around them. We welcome children from all around the world, averaging 25 nationalities each year. Understanding differences and creating empathy for one another are principal values we aim to instill in every child who attends our school.
