In our Primary Section our students are introduced to a bilingual curriculum. They are able to enjoy a bicultural environment where their development is nourished to help them achieve their maximum potential. The grade 1 class has English lessons in the morning and French lessons in the afternoon, as well as on Wednesday mornings. Grades 2 and 3 have English lessons for 2.5 days and French lessons for 2 days. Grades 4 and 5 have French lessons for 2.5 days and English lessons for 2 days. On a typical day the children can be found working on independent assignments or collaborating with their peers on a group project. Particular attention is paid to group discussions and to solidifying listening skills. We understand the importance of making the children feel valued and meeting their needs. If they are in an environment that is safe, stimulating and challenging they can flourish and grow into extraordinary human beings.
The English lessons are based on the British National curriculum and the French lessons are based on the French National curriculum. We teach our comprehensive Math lessons with the Sigapore method. Children develop their mathematical fluency to solve problems in a transformational approach to teaching Math.
To encourage the children to explore their environment and boost their curiosity, Rainbow School also provides classes in Drama, Physical Education, Coding and Dance. Each class is tailored to the level of the students and gives the children the opportunity to discover a new topic in a fun way.
