My school values…

Attendance, commitment and punctuality; a sense of responsibility; high quality work and promoting the well-being of everyone.

I need to…
Feel good, develop independence, have a helpful disposition; have confidence in myself, be creative and curious; develop cross-curricular and inter-disciplinary skills.

To achieve this I will:
  • Ensure I attend school every day and be punctual.
  • Make sure I have all the equipment I need to do my work and study my lessons.
  • Submit my work on time and according to the high expectations of my teachers.
  • Wear school uniform that is appropriate to school life and the temperature.
  • Ensure I take responsibility for my personal well being and health (having healthy and balanced meals, not chewing gum, having adequate sleep and good personal hygiene).
  • Only use the school provided equipment in the playground (superfluous objects such as mobile phones, mp3, video games and toys from home are not allowed).
  • During playtime I will stop playing at the sound of the bell, tidy the equipment and prepare to return to lessons.
  • Conduct myself appropriately around the school site, including walking through the buildings.
My relationships
My school values…
A peaceful environment where all individuals are safe and well, empathy and respect; harmony, cooperation and tolerance; fair resolution of conflict; being a place where honesty and integrity are shown to all.

I need to…
Operate in a harmonious atmosphere; feel safe in school/the playground, feel confident and able to communicate my ideas.

To achieve this I will :
  • Speak and act correctly with my classmates and adults.
  • Do not take part in any form of violence (intimidation, bullying and dangerous games).
  • Involve an adult if any problem arises.
  • Include all students in the activities of our school.
  • Travel quietly around the school site to respect the working environment.
  • Constructively work as part of a team when required.
  • Respect others’ possessions.
My environment
My school values…

Taking care of the environment by looking after the site and equipment, keeping things in order and cleanliness. Considerate use of materials and resources, recycling where possible.

I need to…
Be able to enjoy living in a clean and healthy environment.

To achieve this I will:
  • Use the rubbish or recycling bins.
  • Take care of the equipment provided by the school: lockers, desks, chairs, books, and small items.
  • Make sure my personal items are well stored and tidied neatly.
  • Respect the work and displays on the walls.
My mealtimes
My school values…

My well being – my health and my social and personal life; good manners and respect to all in the community.

I need to…
Be able to eat my food in a clean and quiet environment.

To achieve this I will:
  • Follow the instructions set by the adults in the school.
  • Sit and eat properly, using the appropriate cutlery.
  • Avoid waste.
  • Raise my hand if I need help and avoid talking loudly or shouting.
  • Do not walk in the eating spaces.
Consequences
Non-compliance with the school agreement could include…

  • Verbal warnings

  • Meeting with the Head Teacher
  • Meeting with my parents and my teachers.
  • Withdrawal from playtime or the classroom.
  • Withdrawal of a special activity or timeout.
  • Provisional withdrawal of a banned object (e.g. mobile phone)

  • Seeking to actively resolve the conflict with whoever has been involved.

In some serious situations children who display obscene behaviour, including aggression to others, swearing and other incidents of concerning behaviour will be immediately sent to the Head Teacher. These situations, in discussion with the student, the teachers and parents could lead to expulsion.
